Handmade Notebooks, Journals, Planners — Made in the UK
All Kitaken books are handmade and are available as blank notebooks, address books, agendas / planners and pocket calendars. Since each book is made to order as a custom-made book, there are numerous possibilities to personalise a book according to your own taste. Kitaken books make a unique gift for all occasions.
Formats
The following five formats are available:
• Blank notebook small: 10x15 cm, 70 sheets (140 pp.)
• Blank notebook large: 15x21 cm, 80 sheets (160 pp.)
• Address and telephone book: 10x15 cm, 46 sheets (92 pp.)
• Weekly calendar planner (2 pages=week): 10x15 cm, 80 sheets (160 pp.)
• Daily calendar planner (1 page=day): 15x21 cm, 230 sheets (460 pp.)
The measurements refer to the inside dimensions and describe the actually usable area of the books.

Materials
Only the finest quality materials from Japan and Europe are used.
When deciding on the front cover, there are two collections to choose from: "Washi" and "Wabi-Sabi":
The front of the book from the Washi-series is covered with handprinted Japanese paper (Chiyogami or Katazome). These beautiful papers are printed in traditional technique and are imported from Kyoto, Japan. "Chiyo" meaning "1000 generations", indicates the durability of this paper, which is as sturdy as it is delicate.
The fronts of the Wabi-Sabi-Series are covered with natural linen and printed with an original Kitaken design. These designs are based on my own photographs and illustrations, and are inspired by the Japanese "Wabi-Sabi" aesthetic.
The back cover of the book of both design lines is covered with gorgeous, hand-dyed bookcloth from Germany.
The inside block of the books is made from high-quality, ivory-coloured italian paper with a very fine tooth.

For books from the Washi-series, a personalised linen plaque is debossed into the cover of the book (as shown). Personalisations for books from the Wabi-Sabi series (linen covers) are directly printed.
